Jewellery
We have set up a system where jewellery is made by locals and workers at our centre in Ruai. Neighbours and workers are given opportunities to learn skills such as jewellery making. Ruth and her brother, Kamau have a great skill in jewellery making and teach others, producing beautiful high quality jewellery to sell in the UK. The idea is to operate a fair trade system of buying the materials from locals to be made into the jewellery, creating more work at the centre. The jewellery can then be sent back to be sold for funds for the centre.
Quintessential and Uneeka of Truro in Cornwall have both stocked and sold Stars of Hope jewellery.
