Disruption in Kenya

Since all the political problems have presented themselves in Kenya we have been carefully monitoring the situation and its effects on our centres.

Ruth and Gem are in daily contact and emergency funds are ready to be transferred.

The main problems have occurred in the Rift Valley and in provinces to the west on Nairobi. Thankfully we are more to the East but due to the intensity of the violence the repercussions are felt by all.

In Dandora there have been lootings and food prices are high and so food has been transported from Ruai to Dandora. If the tensions rise to the extremes in Dandora then the centre in Ruai is ready to open as a place of refuge for the duration of the violence.

These are extremely worrying times but our work continues with strength.
