Stars of Hope will be holding a fundraising event in May 2012 (exact date to be confirmed soon) in London. We look forward to the opportunity to invite old and new friends to a fun evening together while raising much needed funds. More details coming soon!
Funds needed to support the education of 55 children in Kenya.
Stars of Hope is responsible for the education of 55 children in Ruai, Kenya. 28 of the pupils are children from the Children's Centre and the other 27 are children from the local community. Providing an education makes a fundamental difference to the lives of these children. For the past two years, the cost of education - which includes the school fees, lunch, transportation and school uniforms - has been met by a private donor. However, we recently learned that the funding has been unexpectedly withdrawn due to changes in the donor's economic circumstances. As a result, we now need to raise an additional £18,000 pounds to cover these essential costs.
